Ingredients

  • ½ cup mango puree fresh ripe mango or thawed frozen mango blended smooth
  • 4 thick wedges of lime
  • 2 teaspoons sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 ounces cachaça
  • Ice enough to fill the glass
  • Mint garnish optional but looks and tastes great

Instructions

Muddle The Lime And Sugar

  • Set your glass on the counter. Add the lime wedges and sugar.
  • Use a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon and press gently. Don’t crush the lime into pulp—just release the lime juice and oils so your drink gets a fresh citrus taste.

Add The Mango Puree

  • Scoop in the mango puree. I like using fresh mango because the flavor feels real and smooth. You can taste the sweetness right away when you stir it with the lime.

Pour In The Cachaça

  • Measure out 2 ounces of cachaça and pour it into the glass.
  • Give it a quick stir so the lime, sugar, mango, and alcohol come together.

Add Ice

  • Fill the glass all the way up with ice. The cold temperature brings the drink together.

Stir And Finish

  • Stir again from the bottom of the glass.
  • Garnish with a mint leaf or a small slice of mango on the rim.Take a sip and adjust the sweetness or lime intensity if you want.
