Are Conchitas Con Carne Good For You?
Yes!!! If you’re looking for a nutritious meal that is high in protein and low in fat, then this is the perfect dish for you! The way to lose weight with this recipe is by substituting the pasta for wholewheat noodles or brown rice. Also, try using leaner meat.
Using lean meat will help cut back fats tremendously. A bowl of Conchitas Con Carne cooked with lean meat, wholewheat pasta, and brown rice will give you a lot fewer calories compared to the meal prepared with regular pasta, white rice, and a lot more fats.
Will Conchitas Con Carne Increase Your Appetite?
No . . . . . .will not! This recipe is considered to be an appetite suppressant because it’s high in fiber and protein and low in fats. These three nutrients are what keep you full longer while suppressing hunger pangs.
Will Conchitas Con Carne Make You Fat?
No . . .will not!!! High protein meals like this will not make you fat. Proteins take longer to break down in the digestive system than carbs or fats. While breaking down, proteins trigger a release of hormones that signal your body to feel full and satisfied.
Additionally, the high content of calories in proteins makes them lesser likely to be turned into fats. This is why you see marathon runners carrying bulky protein bars when they’re running twenty miles on a treadmill!
Your body uses proteins to make enzymes, muscles, tissues and other body parts and repair damaged cells and energy during exercise.
Will Conchitas Con Carne Increase Your Cholesterol?
No . . .will not!!! The high protein content in this recipe will help lower your cholesterol and triglyceride levels rather than raise them.
Carbohydrates are the major culprit for elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. Avoid carbs and fats for meals a day or two before a doctor’s visit for a full check-up.
Can Conchitas Con Carne Be Frozen?
Yes!!! You can certainly store a large batch of these Conchitas in the freezer. Just make sure to put them in an air-tight container. There’s been no report on whether or not frozen conchitas will taste exactly like freshly cooked ones.
I’m pretty sure they will, but don’t take any chances! Some people have reported that frozen Conchita’s are still great tasting even after ten years in the freezer.
I hope you will try this recipe and let me know what you think. Also, I’d like to know how you changed the recipe to suit your taste.
