The Perfect Alton Brown Smoked Salmon Recipe

We love Alton Brown’s cooking show on the Food Network! It’s easy to get creative in the kitchen with his recipes.

One of our favorites is the Alton Brown smoked salmon recipe he made one time. We tweaked it a little and wanted to share it with you here: The Perfect Alton Brown Smoked Salmon Recipe.

First of all, you’ll need a good salmon. Fresh is best. This is because fresh fish has the most moisture. Moisture is a good thing when it comes to smoking fish.

The next important thing you’ll need for this recipe is your smoker. If you don’t have one, maybe a friend does and will let you use theirs!

  • 1 (3-4 lbs.) side of salmon, gutted and scaled
